CITY OF CHARLOTTE STREET LIGHT
LETTER - 5/2/08
Steele
Creek HOA Residents,
Hello
and I hope things are well. Your Board of
Directors (BOD) have finalized the process for
getting the street lights in the community. As
a result of this new process, the BOD has
attached a
copy of the letter you will be receiving in
the mail from Hawthorne Management over the
course of the next couple of days. A copy of
the letter will also be placed in your mailbox,
as a secondary back-up, and on the website as a
tertiary back-up. We wanted to make sure
everyone has received a copy of the letter and
there is no misunderstanding of this new
process.
After
the 30 day period, we will need to get a final
letter back into the City of Charlotte Dept. of
Transportation. In the meantime, if you should
have any further concerns or questions, please
send all specific questions directly to me, and
any general questions to any of the Board
Members.
Take
care, and lets move this process forward for the
benefit of the community.
Best
regards,
Stewart Hubbard

ENTRANCE LIGHTS PROBLEM -
1/16/08
The
BOD wants everyone in the community to be aware that the
problem with the entrance lights not coming on at night
is being addressed. According to Kelly Parker at
Hawthorne Mgmt, electricians were sent out on several
occasions to address the issue. However each time,
the electricians determined that the problem has
to be repaired by Duke Power. Hawthorne then notified
Duke Power and has been following up with Duke on a
consistent basis ever since. Duke has yet to get
out to us based on their current schedule of repairs.
So basically, it's a waiting game from now until
repaired. Please refrain from contacting Hawthorne
since the repair responsibility lies with Duke Power.
Streetlight Update -
1/4/08
The
BOD sent notice to the community email distribution this
evening that our community has officially passed the
approval for the streetlight "special assessment".
Hawthorne Mgmt. will be sending out invoices as follows:
Option A:
- If you
have paid only one of the two payments, you will receive
an invoice for one payment to be made due in February no
later than March.
Option B:
- If you
have not paid either of the two payments, you will need
receive invoices for two payments to be made in February
and March.
If you
have paid both payments for $180.00, then you will 'not'
need to pay any more money. Invoices are also going out
to Keystone to ensure they pay $180 for each of the lots
they still own.
Note: The BOD is still waiting to
hear back from the City of Charlotte regarding the
Street Light Map. Once all payments are collected over
the next few months, a check will be forward to the City
for installation. The rest (installation date) is
up to the City. If there are any questions regarding
this update, click on Contacts to email the BOD.
